WHO DARES WINS
The Video Above
"Once that seed of doubt's sown, you have to have a strong mind to sort of put it bay and keep it in it's box where it belongs and not let it take charge and rule your mind" and " that self doubt can be come quite over powering and you can become your own worst enemy".
So you may be reading this and saying, "WTF has this got to do with love and dating?"... I'm picking up what you're putting down, it's a strange segue to say the least. The subject matter is both direct and indirect, however I believe the main point of these videos is "don't give up". This is an idea can be transferred into tremendous life skills as well as your dating life.
I watched these videos some time ago and cannonballed them like the last series of Breaking Bad. It was completely captivating witnessing human psychology in action. As a caveat, by no means am I promoting militarism and glorification of war. Furthermore, I'm not promoting that you pester and nag the f*&# out of someone to make them date you! That's just plain creepy and not this articles intent.
This series Channel 4's "SAS who dares wins season 1" promotes:
- Confidence (no matter what the odds)
- Mental toughness (mind over matter)
All these traits are attractive in a potential partner whether it be male or female. I strongly believe that when you embody these idiosyncrasies they will indirectly make you more appealing to the opposite or same sex. (Whatever your preferrence, BOD don't judge!)
If you're a person who doesn't give up, eventually you can beat all the odds. Don't give up on yourself, you're stronger than you think. Remember, "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Comparable to the SAS!
If you're too scared to approach a man or woman to strike up a conversation be like the SAS who's motto is "who dares wins" and take a calculated risk. Don't let opportunities pass you by. You have nothing to lose so why not give it a go? The worst that can happen is that the person will say no! So just brush it off and get back on your horse.
I highly recommend watching series one and series two. Unfortunately the YouTube links to the full episodes have disappeared. But I did find one full episode you can enjoy. I even found a link to buy it at JB HI FI. Its well worth the watch. Try watching them all here too (the channel 4 website)
One step at a time, be kind to yourself and dont give up on yourself or dating...
