Best Make Out Spots In Perth

Best make out spots perth V2

So you've got your date, you've just finished you're super awesome INSERT DATE ACTIVITY HERE and now it's time to drop him or her home. But you know what's coming and he or she knows too... The first kiss, it's that exchange to know where you stand, if it's a YAY or NAY. It's one of the key indicators so you know there will be a date two. Will it happen? Will it be awkward AF? No one ever really knows for sure, but with a combination of sweaty palms, the right mix of alcohol and a stunning location, anything can happen!

1. Kings Park DNA tower

It's a bit of cliché, but once you get over that, King's Park is a picturesque elevation that looks over Perth's CBD containing two and a half buildings. If you visit it this location at night its both super romantic and rather sleazy (so keep that in mind and read your date before embarking on this snog spot). It's reminiscent of Italy and Italian lovers that have pulled over on the side of the road for a bit of wink wink, nudge nudge. Just play your cards right check out the view and don't push for the magic can happen. As an added bonus bring a small bottle of champagne for something different.

2. Cottesloe Beach

Captain obvious says "the best season to go is summer". Thanks Captain Obvious... Also a great date idea would be to arrange a nice dinner at the Cottelsoe Beach Hotel OR Il lido's for a bite. Failing that just get some simple fish and chips from Amberjacks and go the lawn bit with a picnic rug and nestle down for some casual date moves. Or get some ice cream from Red Spoon and go for a cheesy stroll? TOP TIP: probably don't go when Sculptures By The Sea is on, it's crawling with half of Perth's population and bring a jumper as it gets cold at night.

3. Heathcote Reserve

A great little spot that's right next to the former Bluewater Grill (now called BGW Steakhouse). So you could book dinner there and have desert on the children's play thingees and act like a total kid. While your there perhaps you could also do the "I'm king of the world" reenactment from Titanic for some lame but massive LOLs!. Definitely worth a visit. Bring the chapstick to counteract the pash rash.

4. Fremantle Round House

Yeh yeh yeh, It's a bit touristy but don't let that put you off. The Roundhouse  is the oldest public building in the State of Western Australia (which we totally googled BTW) which was opened in January 1831, just 18 months after settlement, it was built to hold any person convicted of a crime in the settlement and was used until 1886. So kinda bad vibes but don't worry you're not going inside. Perhaps go to the park bench and relax, converse and empathise about the horrors of being a convict? This description really took a turn eh? Apologies.

5. Pinnaroo Point

Once you have finished your date at Hillary's Boat Harbour and you're about to drop him or her back, stop by Pinnaroo point is one of the more secluded beaches in the Northern Suburbs, where you can find yourself a nice hidden spot in the sun and enjoy the moment together in relative bliss. It's good kissy kissy time but don't roll around in the sand like a dog off the leash, that's not cool.

6. The Zig Zag

This little region is impressive but its not for the faint hearted. The road is narrow and IT'S ONE FUCKING WAY! We went up there on reconnaissance and to get these awesome shots but for whatever reason we turned around to go up the hill to find a better location. Then we inadvertently played chicken with another car to avoid the impeding crash!!!

Thankfully no one was hurt, there was some colourful words exchanged and we sorta felt like massive knobs because essentially we were in the wrong, albeit no warning signage. Overall a stupendous location that is unrivalled and romantic AF. Bring a blanket so you can really soak up the magnificent sunset and chill.

7. Sunken Gardens UWA

This little secret green hideaway is between the Administration and Art Gallery just off Stirling Highway. The trick is to dress like a student so you just blend in. We recommend an ironic Nirvana tee shirt and some Docs to really homogenise. It's also best to go during the day for lunch, I imagine it would feel super scary at night, the boogyman would totally be there for sure.

8. Green Place Reserve

Not going to lie, it's a massive ball ache getting there, tight corners and a hill type landscape. Plus if you're taking your date there in the evening for an amorous "surprise" he or she will think you are going to murder them. This spot is near Chidley Reserve, so have a gander at how the other half live, a little posh but a great spot to smack those luscious lips.

9. Galaxy Drive In Theatre

This one is a no brainer and great if you have a old range rover or ute. Deck it out like this. But please clean your car for this one, no one wants to gettin it orn and then unexpectedly getting covered in a week old banana peel, that's a real boner killer. Plus this make out spot requires some organising as the Galaxy Drive In Theatre has no eftpos only cash. So please pre book your tickets online to tonsil town.
